Is nobody listening?

What's weird about the whole West's relationship with the PA (and that includes Israel's relationship) is that the PA repeatedly states its true intentions -- the takeover of all of Israel -- while the West insists on saying that the PA does not want to do that. Thus, this just in from Abbas, speaking to his minions:

Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas vowed yesterday the Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip marked a huge step in his people’s quest for an independent state, with a capital in Jerusalem. “Today Gaza and tomorrow Jerusalem if God wills it,” Abbas told a demonstration, attended by thousands, on Gaza City’s Mediterranean coastline.

It reminds me of the person confronted by a dog that's barking and wagging its tail. Only a fool would trust that tail.
