Good news about the economy and oil prices
MSM getting you down with its relentlessly painting the economy as a gloom and doom scenario (all Bush's fault, of course), and oil prices at all time highs (all Bush's fault, of course)? If so, you must read this Krwin M. Stelzer article, in which he points out (a) that the U.S. economy is exceptionally robust (despite Bush and Congress competing in a "spend all you can" game); and (b) that there is every reason to believe that oil prices will fall, not rise, as oil companies bring on line vast numbers of new oil fields outside of the Arab countries. I'd certainly like to see alternatives to fossil fuel, but I'd even more like to see cheap fuel without our being dependent on the Arab nations.
