A Cupertino teacher has the temerity to point out that America has historically been a religious country

A battle rages in Cupertino, where an avowedly religious teacher has been challenging the vapid curriculum coming out of Sacramento by pointing out to his students that early Americans were a devoutly religious group, and that even the non-religious were guided by their Christian beliefs. Funnily enough, those ranging against the teacher, "say the suit is an attempt by the Christian right to remake the nation's history." In fact, those who deny America's religious heritage are the ones "remaking the nation's history."
