The religion of the inferiority complex

Little Green Footballs ironically refers to extreme Islam as the Religion of Peace (or RoP). Today, he takes it one step further to refer to it as the Religion of Peace and Tolerance, in an illustrated post about how that same religion used bulldozers to destroy a charming little water shrine made up of decorative teapot buildings. Reading his post, I was reminded again of the fact that Islam just can't take second place to anything within its radius (wherever it happens to place that radius), but must constantly assert its superiority. In other words, to mangle Shakespeare, it protests too much about its primacy. This is not the mark of security. This is the mark of insecurity. Keep in mind the classic definition of an inferiority complex:

In the fields of psychology and psychoanalysis, an inferiority complex is a feeling that one is inferior to others in some way. It is often unconscious, and is thought to drive afflicted individuals to overcompensate, resulting either in spectacular achievement or extreme antisocial behaviour. Early work was pioneered by Alfred Adler, who used the example of Napoleon complexes to illustrate his theory. [Hyperlinks omitted.]
I've therefore decided that "RoP" is not the best description. I'm officially redesignating hardcore islam as the Inferiority Complex Religion, or ICR.
