I wonder how Islamists will fare when they start turning on their own

Iraq's al Qaeda says it will kill kidnapped Egyptian envoy - July 6, 2005, 10:44 PM (GMT+02:00) The website statement by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's group says Ihab al-Sherif will be killed as an ally of the Zionists and infidels. The site displays his driving license and other identification as proof of his abduction last Saturday.

The Arabs have always been copacetic when Islamists killed Jews, Americans, Westerners generally, Hindus, Muslim peasants, etc. I wonder, though, how calm they'll be now that the Islamist feeding frenzy is beginning to turn on Arab leadership. I can't say I'm too surprised, since all big revolutions have ended by turning on the leadership (see, e.g., The French Revolution and The Russian Revolution). UPDATE: The kidnappers are now reporting that they have killed Ihab al-Sherif, although that cannot be confirmed.
