Global warming? What global warming?
I was reading an old book of anecdotes, and this one reminded of the foul weather blanketing the Northeast this spring:
Dirty days has September April, June, and November. From January up to May It's pretty sure to rain each day. All the rest have thirty-one Without much chance of any sun And if one of them had two and thirty, They'd be just as wet and twice as dirty. From Bennett Cerf's Bumper Crop, Vol. 1 (Garden City Books, 1956), attributed to The Farmer's Alamanac.
