Sour Grapes

Sen. harry Reid made this surprising statement about Pres. Bush: "I think this guy is a loser." Pardon me, but isn't this loser the same guy who was twice elected to the Presidency, and who controls both Houses of Congress (we won't get into how weak the Republicans are looking now)? Reid must have pretty high standards if he calls someone like a loser. To give Reid some credit, he apparently realized that he'd gone a bit too far: "You know the president is in Europe, probably sleeping," Reid said in an interview this afternoon. "But I called (Karl) Rove and apologized for what I said." If Reid had more manners, more class, more self-discipline and more intelligence, he wouldn't have said something like this in the first place. Of course, if he had those things, he probably also wouldn't be a Democrat.
