The case for putting increased pressure on Syria

If one accepts his factual statements as true (which I do, having no reason to doubt them), Charles Krauthammer makes a compelling case for keeping on the pressure on Syria. He considers Syria the current fulcrum of the Axis of Evil in the Middle East, since the main contenders (such as Iran, and various paramilitary organizations) are dependent on Syria's location and access in order to disseminate their destabilization tactics.
