Someone refuses to recognize the end of her fiefdom

From a member of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, a National Review article reminding us why we don't take seriously pronouncements coming out of that organization. Peter Kirsanow on U.S. Commission on Civil Rights on National Review Online: "Mary Frances Berry's term as a member of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights ended at midnight Sunday, but as of this writing she maintains that her term doesn't end until January 21, 2005, and imperiously refuses to step down." UPDATE: I haven't followed up on this, but I've heard that Bush has essentially moved new blood into Berry's office, ending her reign.
