Funny story about a bird running amok on the road:

Police in Cyprus are reporting a car accident that could have been a scene out of a Roadrunner cartoon. It involves a different bird -- an ostrich -- but still, the fastest thing on two legs. Seems that as a runaway ostrich sped down a road with police in pursuit, it ran down a Mercedes. Ostriches can weigh 400 pounds, and the bird pretty well smashed the hood and bumper of the car before police were able to catch it.

Apparently the chase lasted for three hours. Ostriches are pretty darn impressive birds, aren't they?
